She was 80 years old. Born in Brooklyn on March 8, 1939, she was the daughter of Willis and Christine Williams. Christine was a retired nurse’s aide at the former Horton Hospital in Middletown. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She loved singing and sang in the choir there for many years. While residing at Mt. Alverno, she participated in many of the activities offered; she especially enjoyed flower arranging with the Warwick Valley Gardeners, singing with “Big Al” and playing rummy and Rummikub with her friends. Christine is survived by her brother Eugene Williams of Albrightsville, Pa.; sister-in-law Toni Williams of Albany; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation and funeral services were held Oct. 4 at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick. Interment in Warwick Cemetery followed the service. Daniel Ludovici, 84, apparently was headed to the bathroom before dawn Monday when he either tripped or suffered a medical episode and went crashing through a window at the Coventry Square Apartments off Charles Street across Old Hook Road from Pascack Valley Medical Center, authorities said. The U.S. Army veteran was pronounced dead soon after. His apartment door was locked and there was no sign of foul play, police told Daily Voice. "He may have died before the fall," one said. Ludovici taught music for several years at Emerson High School. "He was a really nice guy. Everybody liked him," a friend said Tuesday. Ludovici leaves behind a daughter, Robyn McNair; grandchildren Danielle and Aidan McNair, all of Rochelle Park, and step-grandchildren Natalie McNair and her husband, Tony Vaccarino, of Morris Plains. Visiting hours were scheduled from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home , 113 South Farview Avenue in Paramus, NJ. Thurber, a lifetime resident of the Town of Warwick, currently residing in Greenwood Lake, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 5, 2019, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern. He was 50 years old. He was born in Warwick on April 16, 1969, the son of Robert Thurber and Patricia Shea Thurber. Harry was a cook at Joey, Vito and Michael’s Pizzeria in West Milford, N.J., prior to his death. An avid sports fan, Harry loved his New York teams and faithfully followed the Mets, Giants, Rangers and Knicks. He also enjoyed going fishing on Greenwood Lake and spent his time gardening and cooking while at home. Harry was his father’s primary caregiver for many years. Harry is survived by his father, Robert; and several cousins. Private arrangements were made by Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick.
